New Station

The Hung Shui Kiu Station is to be constructed between Tin Shui Wai Station and Siu Hong Station and located at the future Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen New Development Area. The station provides more convenient and environmentally friendly train services to the future development area and the districts nearby.

Key Features

  • A two-level above-ground station: Concourse at ground level with platforms at the upper level
  • Several entrances to cope with the future infrastructure development of the Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen New Development Area
  • During the design and planning of the station, green and sustainable building elements will be incorporated to integrate into the adjacent area. These include reducing carbon emissions, environmentally friendly and energy efficiency measures.

The effective ventilation design enhances cross-ventilation by drawing in fresh air from outdoors and the temperature of the station is appropriately adjusted through the natural wind. With High Volume Low Speed fans at the station concourse and platforms, the temperature will be maintained at an optimum level.

Solar panels on the top of the station will generate electricity for the station. The design of the external walls will help reflect sunlight into the interior of the station so energy consumption on lighting is reduced.

Treated water from the rainwater harvesting system will facilitate irrigation for the vegetation at the station.

The external areas of the station will have a greening design which is aesthetically pleasing and reducing the station temperature efficiently.

All drawings and visuals are provided for concept illustration only. The content is subject to change as the planning and design works are still in progress.
