The MTR Corporation is pushing forward a series of new railway projects, including the Tuen Ma Line Hung Shui Kiu Station (“HSK”). Alongside the decennial Ha Tsuen Tai Ping Ching Chiu Festival, a food carnival was held from 18 to 28 December 2024 at the Ha Tsuen Tang Ancestral Hall Square. The HSK project team participated in the event by setting up an exhibition and game booth, introducing the latest project information in an enjoyable and interesting way and further disseminating works updates to the community.

HSK is the first station to be built on an operating railway viaduct in Hong Kong. The project team and contractor representatives proactively introduced visitors and villagers to the HSK construction processes, features of “Modular Integrated Construction”, and the sustainable design of the new station, and answered their inquiries. The booth attracted nearly 5,000 residents, who gained a deeper understanding of the project and expressed their anticipation towards the station’s completion.

To add fun and excitement to the exhibition, the project team launched a “Tuen Ma Line Hung Shui Kiu Station. GO!” pop-up game booth from 21 to 24 December, where visitors learnt about the future stations on the Tuen Ma Line through a fun-filled pull-back train game. This popular game attracted a lot of residents’ active participation to win attractive gifts, strengthening the connections between the project and the community.
