The future Tuen Ma Line Hung Shui Kiu Station will be built on the operating railway viaduct between Tin Shui Wai and Siu Hong stations. Before the construction of the new station, overhead line modification works in the station area are required, including the relocation of the existing overhead line section and connection (overlap), and laying new overhead line cables, etc. A section of overhead line has been extended from 1,500m to over 1,700m, making it the longest overhead line section on the Tuen Ma Line.
The intensive works have been completed smoothly within the “Golden 2 hours” after traffic hours, spanning over 200 nights across 21 months, without affecting daily train services.
