The MTR Corporation is taking forward multiple new railway projects while staying connected with the community. To strengthen local residents’ understanding of the Tuen Ma Line Hung Shui Kiu Station Project and railway developments in the Northern Metropolis, the project team, alongside representatives from the Highways Department’s Northern Metropolis Railways Office, held a school talk at Yuen Long Po Kok Primary School on 26 June. Nearly 300 enthusiastic students actively participated in the questions and games session, unleashing their boundless creativity while sharing their thoughts on the future Hung Shui Kiu Station, which created a lively atmosphere!

The project team presented the benefits, features, construction methods, and sustainable design of the Hung Shui Kiu Station using various visuals and videos. The interactive Q&A session conveyed the project information to the school in an entertaining way.

An engineer from the Highways Department also introduced the railway development plans for the Northern Metropolis, providing students with a deeper understanding of the future new development areas.

After the thematic talk, the students demonstrated a more comprehensive understanding of the Hung Shui Kiu Station Project. They also realised that infrastructure-led development through railway projects can drive economic growth and foster community connectivity.
